    The Trade Ministry announced its participation in the meetings of the session 29 Ministerial Standing Committee for economic and commercial cooperation of the States members of OIC (COMCEC) for 18-21 this month in Istanbul, Turkey.
    The Ministry said in a statement yesterday that (time) (Minister Khairallah Hassan Babiker will lead the Iraqi delegation participating in the meetings to be held under the chairmanship of the President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and attend the Ministers of trade and Finance of the Member States and the institutions involved in economic and trade activities of the Organization and the Iraqi delegation will include trade, transport and finance, industry, mining, tourism and Antiquities and the national investment Commission, the Central Bank). The statement said (during the meeting will be to discuss the new strategy of the COMCEC which are based on the principles of mobility and strengthening solidarity and promoting governance and strategic efforts focus COMCEC cooperation areas (trade, transport, communications, tourism, agriculture, finance, poverty alleviation and the COMCEC the clear strategy of implementing these strategic tools and project management).
     
    He (will discuss economic and trade issues of interest between the Member States of the Organization, including the world food crisis that led to higher prices for basic crops like wheat walstratiget cereals, rice, sugar, wetzebdb crude oil prices and the implications for economic development of Islamic countries, both exporting and importing those goods and economic changes and developments and global financial crises and the prospects for consolidating and developing bilateral trade and trade fairs and specialized exhibitions).
     
    The statement said (meetings are looking as well as areas of cooperation in priority sectors and the promotion of transport and communications and the development of sustainable and competitive tourism sector and increasing agricultural productivity and sustainability of food security as well as the discussion of increased flows of foreign investment in the Member States of the organisation of Islamic cooperation).
