    Baghdad: Baghdad International Book Fair on Friday witnessed a ceremony to sign books by Kuwaiti writers Saud al-Sanousi and Buthaina al-Issa.
    The signing ceremony is the first of its kind for Kuwaiti writers in an Iraqi cultural forum for nearly three decades amid great hospitality by Iraqi intellectuals and readers. 
    "The Iraqi hospitality with the Kuwaiti delegation has stirred feelings of affection, closeness and love after the rupture that lasted for many years," Al-Issa said in a press statement. 
    And expressed its willingness to do everything in its power to make the success of the Baghdad International Book Fair "and that is the responsibility of every Arab writer." 
    She noted that she visited Mutanabi Street in Baghdad, "a heritage street specialized in the sale of books," where I saw there as well as the layers of history and heritage prospects for the future and the seeds for change for the better. 
    And signed the writer Btnaya Al-Issa on a number of books for readers, including the book {maps of Taha} and «all things».
    "Baghdad gave him a humanistic impression of the Iraqi man and the surplus of love they have enjoyed since their arrival," said Sinoussi, author of the book Umayyeen Hissa. 
    "The Iraqi cultural scene has been around for years and the Baghdad Book Fair is an opportunity to meet Iraqi intellectuals," he said. 
    For his part, praised the President of the Federation of Iraqi Publishers, Dr. Abdul Wahab Radi in a press statement with the participation of Kuwaiti writers at the exhibition, considering the signing ceremony "an important signal to the Iraqi audience to receive the Kuwaiti cultural achievements." 
    The signing ceremony was attended by Kuwaiti Deputy Ambassador in Baghdad Khalid Al-Qenaie and a number of Iraqi intellectuals and readers. 
    The events of the Baghdad International Book Fair 2018 was launched yesterday with the participation of some 600 Arab and foreign publishing houses as well as the participation of Kuwait, the first in 29 years.

    "The participation of Kuwait in the Baghdad International Book Fair aims to communicate with Iraqi intellectuals and deliver the Kuwaiti book to them with ease and ease," said director of the Kuwait International Book Fair Saad Al-Enezi.

    He explained that the Council participates in a total of 350 titles in various fields, stressing that they did not face any restrictions or prevention by the Iraqi authorities on any of those addresses, especially that most of them were cultural. 
    In turn, the president of the Iraqi Publishers Association Abdul Wahab Al-Radi said, "I am pleased to participate in the Kuwaiti exhibition after years of non-participation, adding that the celebration of Iraq in Kuwait, led the management of the exhibition to consider Kuwait as a guest of honor at the exhibition for the current year. 
    "Iraq is keen to build good relations between the people of both countries," he said. 
    The events of the Baghdad International Book Fair 2018 was launched last Thursday with the participation of about 600 publishing houses Arab and foreign.

    Under the slogan "Read to Grow" the Baghdad International Book Fair 2018 began with the participation of more than 600 publishing houses from 18 Arab and foreign countries, including Kuwait, "guest of honor" this session. 

    "Our return to Baghdad is to have an annual cultural and cultural spring, where students of knowledge, culture and literature will meet writers from around the world, through which a cultural workshop will emerge that will fill the shadows of our people, our guests and our fellow publishers," said Abdelwahab Radi, president of the Iraqi Publishers Association. .
