Arab League confirms its readiness to contribute to the initiative "Dom 2025" in Baghdad

The Arab League confirmed on Saturday its readiness to contribute to the "Dom 2025" initiative to develop communications technology in Iraq.
"The Arab Organization for Communication and Information Technology (AOCT) of the League of Arab States (LAS) has expressed its readiness to contribute to the implementation of the Dum 2025 programs established by the Information and Communications Authority to develop ICT in Iraq," the media said in a statement.
She added that "the announcement of the Arab Organization comes at a time when the body is preparing to launch the initiative (Dom 2025) officially at a conference will be held on January 14 at the Babylon Hotel in Baghdad to reveal the programs of the initiative and completed projects and future, and the desired results.
"The Arab League has already announced the approval of the Council of Ministers for the initiative by its resolution No. (94) for the year 2018, in addition to the decision of support from the International Telecommunication Union issued by the Plenipotentiary Conference held in Dubai in 2018."
"Through Dom Standard 2025 (DU3M), the company seeks to develop the health, education, agriculture, banking and trade sectors through the launch of electronic services." "Creating opportunities to develop and promote the skills of Iraqi youth in the field of informatics and communications, and to enable them to achieve small projects that enable them to achieve themselves and increase opportunities for their achievement and production."
"Enhancing skills in the field of information and communications technology for staff and human resources, benefiting from the relevant stakeholders and encouraging investment and knowledge of the experiences of other countries," she said. "To promote, facilitate and promote universal access to and access to electronic communication and ICT services in all regions and to all people, including vulnerable and marginalized groups such as people with special needs, income levels and older persons, as well as other projects to be announced at an official conference."
