The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed on Monday that Iraq is ready to host the headquarters of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad.
Al-Aboudi said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, on the sidelines of his reception of a delegation from the Union, that “Iraq is ready and prepared to host the headquarters of the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad,” reiterating “the keenness of Iraqi higher education and scientific research institutions to cooperate scientific and research with their counterparts in Arab countries and to activate Contexts of integration with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils to enhance the development of the path of scientific and academic partnership.”
He explained that "Iraqi universities have achieved an important achievement by modernizing educational systems and launching the Study in Iraq project, which attracted international students, in addition to the rise of the scientific publishing index in international databases and the rise in competitive ranks in international classifications."
