Iraq shows the European Union foreign ministers success in the voluntary return of refugees

{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Saturday, that it is following with interest the developments of the file of Iraqi immigrants and travelers to Belarus recently.
"We support the voluntary return of refugees, and we call on travelers to Belarus not to be victims of smuggling and human trafficking networks," the ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said in a statement received by {Euphrates News}.
He added, "Foreign Minister [Fouad Hussein] made and received other calls from a number of personalities and foreign ministers in the European Union, including Josep Borrell, the Coordinator of Policy and Security in the European Union, and the Foreign Ministers of Lithuania and Latvia, for the same purpose related to the issue of immigration and asylum, and he clarified the official position on the voluntary return of Iraqi refugees. He also pointed to the danger of Iraqis falling victim to smuggling and human trafficking networks.
He continued, "Under the direction of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Iraqi Embassy in Moscow followed with great interest the death of citizen Jaafar Hussein Youssef, born in 1981, on the border between Lithuania and Belarus."
He added that the embassy "sent a number of diplomats to find out the details of the incident on the ground in the border strip between Belarus and Lithuania, in the presence of the family of the deceased and representatives of the relevant authorities on the Belarusian side. 6/8".
