The media office of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union states that it decided to hold a meeting at the level of foreign ministers of the European Union on January 20 to discuss the situation in Libya and Iraq.
In its statement, this evening, Wednesday, the office stated that the participants in the meeting will discuss, during an informal lunch, the peace process in the Middle East and the recent events in the region, as well as the results of the emergency meeting held by the EU foreign ministers in Brussels on January 10, according to Russian "TASS" agency.
During this meeting, which focused on the situation in Libya and Iraq, the ministers of the 28 European countries called on Iran and the United States to exercise greater restraint and reduce tension in the region. The ministers also confirmed their intention to continue efforts to maintain the nuclear agreement with Iran.
