Mubasher: Iraq's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, confirmed today, Sunday, that reforming the ration system, social protection and child protection is one of the most important aspects of the ministry's work.
This came during his meeting with a delegation headed by Shema Sen Komta, representative of UNICEF in Iraq, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Abeer Chalabi, "according to the Iraq News Agency "conscious".
During the meeting, they discussed the organization's support and contribution to the implementation of the ministry's programs and plans towards the beneficiary groups.
Al-Rikabi stressed that the ministry needs the organization's contribution and support for children, especially after approving the child protection policy, as well as implementing what was agreed upon during the coming period to reform the social protection system, in partnership with UNICEF, the International Labor Organization and the World Food Program.
He explained that "the issue of reforming the ration card system, in addition to reforming the social protection system and the child protection policy, is the most important detail in the ministry's work," stressing the partners to set timetables for the implementation of the agreed projects.
The organization announced its full readiness to cooperate with the ministry in implementing the prepared plans and programmes.
The two parties agreed to hold a meeting in the near future to discuss everything related to the situation of children in Iraq.
