    {Economic: Al Furat News} The Minister of Trade, Alaa Al-Jubouri, announced today, Sunday, that the launch of the first quota for the new year of flour will be within the next few days after the completion of the distribution of the tenth quota of last year.
    The ministry said in a statement that "Minister al-Jubouri visited the General Company for Grain Manufacturing and held a meeting with the departments of the grain and industrial companies, to develop a plan for distributing flour in the new year 2022, and directed the two departments to coordinate between them to schedule the distribution of flour for the year 2022."
    The statement indicated, "The meeting also dealt with discussing the commercial zero flour project and supporting the private sector, where al-Jubouri stressed the importance of adopting the agreed upon and approved mechanisms in producing zero flour and directing actual production as soon as possible."
    During the meeting, the minister stressed that "the Ministry of Commerce is working today according to a clear strategy based on improving performance, entering into details of work, upgrading it for the better, and overcoming the problems that occurred previously."
    He pointed out, "the importance of statistics and plans in the framework of the follow-up to the flow of equipment carried out by the company.

    In a related context, the Ministry of Commerce announced the arrival of a ship loaded with more than 44,000 tons of rice for the food basket.
    "The ship AFRICAN LOIN has arrived at Basra ports, carrying more than 44,000 tons of American rice for the food basket," the ministry's spokesman, Muhammad Hanoun, said in a statement.
    He stressed, "The quantity of rice that has arrived is part of the contracts made by the private sector, to provide the material within the food basket in the coming rations," noting that "the process of preparing the food basket items will continue without interruption, and the Ministry decided to distribute a new quota in the coming days, after completing the distribution of the meal." past".
    He pointed out, "The Minister of Commerce, Alaa Al-Jubouri, chaired a meeting of food companies, and stressed the importance of regular processing of food basket materials."
    He continued, "The supervisory teams in the Financial and Commercial Control Department, in partnership with examiners from the General Company for Foodstuff Trade, conducted laboratory tests on rice before the ships entered the regional waters, and the results confirmed that the rice is of good quality and conforms to Iraqi specifications."
