A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Mahmoud Al-Hayani, said on Sunday that the current government's economic and financial policy has caused great disappointment in the Iraqi street.
Al-Hayani told the "Information" agency, "The Iraqi people did not get any change in their economic reality as a result of the rise in international oil prices to more than 92 dollars per barrel of oil," noting that "the rise in international oil prices went to the government's benefit and only increased its financial treasury."
He added, "The Iraqi citizen has begun to feel great disappointment as a result of the financial and economic policy run by the current government, which aims to serve its own interests," noting that "the Iraqi people today are suffering from high prices in all basic or service materials."
A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance explained, "The rise in oil prices to double the expected price in the Iraqi budget is supposed to have a positive return to the Iraqi street and achieve a utilitarian benefit that serves society," stressing that "there has been no change in the economic reality, especially during the current period."
