The Independent High Electoral Commission announced, on Friday, the financing of the provincial treasuries by the Ministry of Finance to disburse the rewards of polling staff, while confirming that the disbursement will take place during the next few period.
Electoral Commission spokeswoman, Jumana Al-Ghalai, told the official news agency, "The file of polling staff rewards is currently in the Ministry of Finance, which has funded the treasuries in each governorate with the required amounts," noting that "the distribution will be made by the governorate treasuries in the next few period."
Al-Ghalay added, "The distribution will be according to the mechanism that will be determined by the governorates' treasuries, such as distributing checks to each person or opening multiple bank accounts or through committees that will define a mechanism and start distributing," explaining that "the amounts allocated for distribution arrived this week to the governorates' treasuries."
