Today, Wednesday, the Parliamentary Services Committee renewed its emphasis on passing service laws, most notably the law on ownership of slums.
Committee member Haider Ali Al-Jubouri told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The slums law is in the government corridors and we expect it to be sent to the House of Representatives to expedite voting on it during the current parliamentary session."
He added, "There are service bills that the committee is working on reviewing before presenting them for a vote."
He pointed out that "the slums law is one of the important laws that serves a wide segment of the Iraqi people who live in the violations."
He added, "The adoption of the law will address the slums in Iraq and end these slums in a way that preserves the dignity of the residents." End / 25 H
