The Ministry of Justice announced today, Wednesday, the imminent launch of electronic real estate services in Baghdad Governorate.
The ministry stated in a statement received by "Mil" that "the Real Estate Registration Department announced the imminent launch of new electronic real estate services in six directorates in Baghdad Governorate, as part of the digital transformation plan that the department seeks to implement."
According to the statement, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department, Ibtisam Rahim, said: “The new services include the electronic document, the electronic map, and the notary service, which will be provided in six directorates within the capital, three of which are on the Karkh side and the other in Rusafa.”
Rahim explained that “these services will be launched in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, through the National Data Center and the Judicial Planning Department,” noting that “this cooperation aims to achieve a qualitative shift in the process of providing real estate services, which contributes to improving efficiency and speeding up the completion of transactions.”
She stressed that "this project is part of the Iraqi government's plans to advance digital transformation and simplify procedures for citizens," adding that "this step comes after the success of a similar experiment in the first and second Kadhimiya directorates, where services were launched through the "Ur" portal for government services."
Rahim explained that "the department is currently working on evaluating this experiment in preparation for expanding its scope in the rest of Baghdad's directorates after the success achieved in this service," noting that "this initiative will contribute to reducing the effort and time spent on real estate procedures and achieving greater satisfaction among citizens."
