    Information / Baghdad ..
Member of Parliament, Muhammad Anouz, considered, on Monday, that the project to extend an oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba is evidence of corruption and waste of public money.
In a statement to Al-Maalouma, Anouz said, "Extending an oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba will not absolve the current government from legal accountability."
He added that "restoring the Iraqi pipeline confiscated by Saudi Arabia, as well as the Fanias pipeline with Syria, as a necessity that can be implemented instead of extending an oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba, which costs the state billions of dollars."
Anouz pointed out that "the project to extend an oil pipeline from Basra to Aqaba is not feasible and costs Iraq new financial and economic burdens," noting that "this matter is marred by a lot of corruption and a waste of public money."
And the representative of the Coordination Framework, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, had confirmed earlier that extending an oil pipeline to Aqaba may subject Mustafa Al-Kazemi’s outgoing government to legal accountability. finished / 25 h
