Today, Tuesday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that the Council of Ministers decided to reduce the price of gas oil and increase the quantity of its supply for private generators.
The secretariat said in a statement received by "Mawazine News", that "the Cabinet decided to reduce the price of the gas oil product (kerosene) to (250) dinars only per liter, provided that the Ministry of Finance will deduct the amounts from the public treasury share owed by the Oil Products Company, And providing the Electricity Distribution Department, to the Oil Products Distribution Company, with daily positions regarding the programmed cut-off hours, through coordination with the secretariat of the Supreme Authority for Coordination between the governorates.
She added, "The decision included an increase in the quantity of gas oil product processing (kerosene) supplied to private generators, according to the increase in the cut-off hours programmed through the coordination of the Ministry of Electricity with the Ministry of Oil - the Oil Products Distribution Company and the secretariat of the Supreme Coordination Authority between the provinces," pointing out that "the decision It stipulated providing the governorates with a gas oil product (kerosene) that conforms to the ideal technical and marketing specifications, and not replacing it with diesel, and providing a complete data position on the cases of expansion and population growth for all administrative units, and for each governorate.
And she indicated that "the decision came based on the recommendations of the consultative meeting to equip private generators with gas oil, which was approved in the regular session of the Council of Ministers, held on 06/07/2022." Ended 29 / p. 87
