Shafaq News/ The bank's dollar sales decreased in the auction today, Monday, to reach 201 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 201 million and 113 thousand and 441 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, down by 16.25% from yesterday, Sunday, when sales amounted to 240 One million and 34 thousand and 106 dollars.
Our correspondent added that the cash purchase of dollars by banks rose from the total sales to reach 41 million and 250 thousand, while the rest of 159 million and 863 thousand and 441 dollars went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Our correspondent indicated that 30 banks have responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, and 17 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 151 mediation companies.
