Today, Wednesday, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji stressed the continuation of international pressure to prevent the return of ISIS terrorist gangs, while noting that Iraq needs to build a deterrence strategy.
Al-Araji said in a meeting within the activities of the Al-Rafidain Forum, that "the post-2003 Iraq went through dangerous turns in the security situation and then confronted the terrorist organization ISIS," noting that "the fatwa of the supreme religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, proved the people to fight ISIS and achieve a great victory over terrorism." .
He stressed that "Iraq needs to build a strategy for deterrence," noting "the need to have the ability and strength to win the respect of all."
He stressed the importance of "continuing international pressure to prevent the return of the terrorist Daesh," noting "the need to end the Syrian al-Hol camp because it constitutes a danger and a time bomb."
