Iraqi citizens are eagerly waiting for the government to send the draft budget law for the current year, at a time when deputies and specialists stress the need for its paragraphs to be formulated differently from what it was in the past.

Popular anticipation for the completion of the draft financial budget for this year after its absence last year due to the political crisis and its confinement to the food security law, as the Iraqis pin their hopes on it to restore the spirit of service projects, revive the Private sector and run important matters, as Parliament began the legislative recess on the eighth of December twenty-eight days have passed since it will resume its sessions this week, after the assurances of a number of parliamentarians who hope that the government will send the budget law during the first days of the beginning of the second legislative term for discussion in the House of Representatives.

While observers confirm that the draft budget law for this year will not be sent to Parliament during the current month because of the lack of agreement on the share of Kurdistan and because of its large operating expenses. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani last Tuesday, that the government did not rush to send the budget to parliament because the issue requires further scrutiny of the status of financial obligations, pointing out that the budget will include for the first time the government's vision and the ministerial platform.

In addition to the budget, the Parliament's Legal Committee confirmed the existence of one hundred and seventy suspended laws from previous parliamentary sessions, which are currently being discussed, and an attempt is made to include them in the agenda of parliamentary sessions to vote on them, amid assurances that these laws are not passed without political consensus.
