, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Friday, that the necessary funds will be provided to implement the memorandum of understanding with Siemens.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "Al-Sudani received this evening, Friday, at his residence in the capital, Berlin, the CEO of the German energy company Siemens, Christian Bruch."
He added, "The meeting discussed mechanisms for cooperation with Siemens in developing the electricity sector, and removing all obstacles that were facing its work in Iraq."
The Prime Minister affirmed, according to the statement, "the government's determination to provide the necessary funds to implement the memorandum of understanding signed with Siemens on the ground."
The statement indicated that "the meeting was attended by the Minister of Electricity, the advisor to the prime minister, the vice president and official in the Middle East of Siemens, and the director of the company's executive branch in Iraq."
