The head of the "Wa'i" movement, Salah al-Arabawi, described the meeting of Muhammad Reda al-Sistani, the son of the supreme authority, Ali al-Sistani, and the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, in Hanana, as "carrying many messages."

Al-Arabawi said in an interview with his colleague Ahmed Al-Tayeb, followed by "NAS" (February 5, 2023), that "the Sadrist movement cannot remain outside the political scene for long," noting that "Sadr is very dissatisfied with the performance of the Sudanese government."

He pointed out that "the meeting of Mr. Muhammad Reza al-Sistani and the leader of the Sadrist movement, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, carries many messages."

He added, "Al-Sadr's demands are consistent with our raised demands," noting that "Al-Sadr is the one who has the power to determine the timing of ending the political retreat," noting that "there are parties from within the State Administration coalition and the coordination framework that communicate with Al-Sadr."

Al-Arabawi considered Al-Sudani's government "an exact copy of Abdul-Mahdi's government," warning that "the Al-Sudani government will not continue if it continues to be run by the same mechanism."

Muhammad Reda, the son of the supreme religious authority, Ali al-Sistani, paid a visit to the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, at his residence in Hanana.

And the Sadrist activist Issam Hussein wrote, in a post followed by “Nass” on Friday (February 3, 2023), that “confirmed information from Al-Hanana that Muqtada Al-Sadr received Muhammad Reda Al-Sistani yesterday afternoon at his home in Al-Hanana,” adding that “the meeting lasted more than an hour.”

While he pointed out that "the sources did not indicate the nature of the visit or the topics that were discussed."

In the same context, Rahim al-Darraji, the former deputy and secretary-general of the "Enough" movement, commented on the dimensions of this visit.

Al-Darraji said in his post, "Mohammed Reza al-Sistani's visit to Muqtada al-Sadr is evidence of agreement to correct the course of the political and democratic process in Iraq and deliverance from the clutches of the corrupt and failed power parties."
