    Today, Friday, the Oil and Gas International Network concerned with oil affairs revealed that the Emirati Crescent Petroleum Company and the Chinese Geo Jade Company had obtained licenses to work in Iraq regarding the development of the oil and gas sectors, after six years of attempts. 
    The network said in a report translated by (Baghdad Today), that "the fifth licensing round, which ended yesterday, Thursday, led to the granting of work licenses to the Crescent Petroleum Company to manage an oil field in Basra Governorate, and two other fields in the northeastern Diyala Governorate, while the Chinese company Geo Jade obtained two fields in Basra Governorate, and one in Diyala. 
    The network explained that "the announcement of the fifth round of licensing came six years ago, before it was terminated yesterday, Thursday, according to an official statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil," noting that "many companies tried to enter the Iraqi market." through the new round," as she put it.
    Earlier revealed, the Ministry of Oil the transfer of contracts for the fifth round of oil licensing to 3 Chinese and Emirati companies, stressing that Iraq's gas production will be 1,000 million standard cubic feet per day, which contributes to supplying 25% of the needs of power stations.
    The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, said, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that he "directed the Petroleum Contracts and Licensing Department and the relevant authorities in the ministry to expedite the completion of the required procedures in coordination with the companies that won the fifth licensing round, after the procedures were suspended due to circumstances outside of normal.” Ministry's will.
    He added, "The tour was announced in 2017, and in late April of the year 2018, the tour was conducted, which resulted in the referral of (6) exploratory blocks for development by the winning companies of the round. It was referred to the Chinese company (Geo-Ged) and the development and production of the Al-Huwaiza oil field in Basra Governorate, and it was referred to the Chinese (Geo-Ged) company as well, the development and production of the Sinbad oil field in Basra Governorate, and it was referred to the Chinese (UAG) company, development and production of the Kalabat-Qamar fields in Diyala Governorate, and it was referred to the Emirati company (Crescent Petroleum).
    He referred to "the development and production of the Al-Khashm Al-Ahmar-Anjana fields in Diyala Governorate, which was referred to the Emirati (Crescent Petroleum) company. Exploration, development and production of the Khidr Al-Maa exploration patch in Basra Governorate was also referred to the Emirati (Crescent Petroleum) Company.
