    Today, Thursday, National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji confirmed to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian that the government of Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani had won a great consensus.


    Al-Araji's office said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that the latter "received, in his office today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hussein Amir Abdullahian, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, and the Iraqi ambassador to Tehran, Naseer. Abdel-Mohsen".






    The meeting discussed "bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, and ways to develop them to serve the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the political and security situation in the region."

    Al-Araji praised "the wisdom of Iranian foreign policy, by working to stabilize the region and restore relations with neighboring countries, expressing his hope that the embassies in Riyadh and Tehran will be opened soon, which will bring more security and stability to the region," noting that "the Sudanese government has won a great consensus." And it is continuing to implement its government program, according to its specified timings.

    For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed that "the Islamic Republic of Iran supports a stable and unified Iraq, noting that the relations between the two countries are not only official, but also include the popular level, and that Iraqis and Iranians are one people with many social and geographical commonalities."

    The Iranian Foreign Minister also appreciated, according to the statement, "the positive role played by Al-Araji, at the local and regional levels, expressing his country's happiness at the formation of a supreme security committee between the two countries, noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran is continuing the rounds of dialogue with Saudi Arabia thanks to the prominent Iraqi role in this matter." dialogues".
