Today, Thursday, Minister of Commerce Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy called on his counterpart, the Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, to actively participate in the upcoming Baghdad International Fair.
A statement by the ministry stated that "its minister met with his counterpart, the Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, Majid Al-Qasabi, on the sidelines of his official visit and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss exchanging views to enhance joint cooperation in the economic, trade and investment fields, in a way that serves the common interests between Iraq and Saudi Arabia."
Al-Ghurairy affirmed, “The Iraqi government is keen to open new horizons for economic and commercial cooperation and develop intra-trade with the Saudi side.”
The statement indicated that "the meeting reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, while inviting the Saudi side to actively participate in the upcoming Baghdad International Fair."
For his part, Al-Qasabi stressed "his country's keenness and support to strengthen cooperation with Iraq, and cooperation in the fields of economy, investment and trade."
