Earth News / Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani said today, Monday, that there is one step left to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan region.
Al-Sudani added, in a statement to the media, followed by Earth News, that "only technical issues remain to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan region this week," adding that "providing the salaries of the Kurdistan Regional Government is the duty of the Iraqi government and we are committed to it."
He pointed out that "SOMO will sign a contract with oil buyers today, and oil exports will resume this week," stressing that "a letter will be sent to the Turkish government and oil exports will resume."
He also explained that "the dinar will rise against the dollar in the next few weeks."
