{Local: Al-Furat News} Director of the General Company for Ports of Iraq, Farhan Al-Fartusi, announced that it was agreed in principle with the DP World delegation to open a shipping line (transit) between the ports of Umm Qasr in Iraq and Jebel Ali in the Emirates.
Al-Fartousi said in a statement that, according to the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, regarding the necessity of cooperation and joint work with international companies, it was agreed in principle with the DP World delegation during his reception with them today to open a shipping line for (transit) between the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr and the port of Jebel Ali in the UAE. .
He explained, "Our company is currently in the process of taking measures to prepare all the requirements for the success of this new shipping line."
