    The government electronic communication team formed a joint committee with Baghdad Governorate to follow up on the extent to which generator contractors implement local government instructions, setting the beginning of next year as a maximum to fully control the file. 
    The team's deputy head, Adnan Al-Arabi, said in an interview with Al-Sabah, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that the team recently held a meeting with the Baghdad Governorate to develop mechanisms for implementing the instructions issued by the office to regulate the work of generators, which include collection at the end of the month, while requiring generator owners to set up a meter to know operating hours. By forming a joint committee with the governorate to follow up on the implementation of decisions and take the necessary decisions regarding them.
    He added that the team will conduct field visits and tours in all regions in coordination with the administrative units and mayors and with the support of the security authorities, so that the work is integrated among all relevant parties, noting that the agreement stipulated obligating the contractors to put up a sign that stipulates the local government’s instructions for employment.
    Al-Arabi confirmed that violating generator owners will expose themselves to punishment by removing the generator and replacing it with another while choosing a new contractor. He revealed that the team will begin a campaign to take pledges from them not to violate these instructions so as not to expose themselves to legal accountability, especially since the Prime Minister’s Office has allocated a phone number to receive... Citizens' complaints about this are contacted by the director of the administrative unit to monitor violations wherever they are, stressing that complete control of the file will take place within a maximum period of time at the beginning of next year.
