On Friday, a member of the State of Law coalition, Saad Al-Muttalabi, suggested that there were cases of fraud and manipulation in the elections in areas under Kurdish control, pointing out that the Commission had taken measures in this regard in order to prevent the recurrence of fraud.
Al-Muttalabi told Al-Maalouma, “Previous experiences with the elections witnessed large cases of fraud in areas under the control of Kurdistan parties, especially since the fraud occurred with deceased people whose names appeared among the voters who cast their votes.”
He added, “Fraud is very expected in areas under Kurdish control, and this happened in the previous elections and the previous voting operations, whether in the provincial councils or parliamentary elections.”
He stated that “the Election Commission has taken measures to ensure the security and safety of the voting process from any fraud that may occur in various regions, but whether or not these measures are successful is still unknown.” Ended 25 n
