Al-Rubaie said in an interview with Al-Sumaria News, “Electricity in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is eroding due to the population and the frequent division of floors in addition to the increase in slums,” indicating that “the electricity file is an external file, not an internal file.”

He pointed out that "the solutions being done now are patchwork and not radical to the ongoing energy crisis in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] since 2003 until now."

Al-Rubaie stated that “the areas covered by privatization in the capital, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], do not have electricity in them, despite the continuous interruptions to the national power supply in various areas of the capital (not included),” calling for “starting to include additional areas in the privatization system to get rid of the current crisis.”
