    Baghdad today - Erbil
Today, Sunday (June 23, 2024), oil expert Bahjat Ahmed revealed the reasons for the rise in fuel prices in the cities of the Kurdistan Region.
Ahmed said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "the reasons are due to the increase in demand for fuel, especially with the arrival of thousands of tourists after we entered the summer tourism season."
He added, "The other reason is due to our entry into the summer season and the increased use of fuel, especially gasoline, due to the use of cooling devices in cars. The other reason is the shortage of gasoline in the Iraqi governorates, as the region imports large quantities from those governorates, and thus these reasons led to To increase fuel prices in the cities of the Kurdistan region.
Fuel prices witnessed an increase of 25 dinars for regular gasoline, and the same for improved gasoline, as well as super, amid expectations of a further increase in these prices.
