[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the necessity of keeping pace with developments in the field of air transport and meeting all international aviation standards.
The Prime Minister’s media office said in a statement, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired, today, Sunday, a meeting of the committee charged with ending the file of the European embargo on Iraqi airlines.”
The statement added, “Al-Sudani was briefed on the measures taken by the relevant committee within the efforts to end the embargo and its requirements.” In the field of developing the work of the airline company and automating all its aspects, as well as in the field of aircraft repair and maintenance, and continuing efforts to develop the capabilities of the company’s cadres and facilities, and improving the level of services provided to travelers, in a way that is commensurate with the status and role of airlines, as a civilized interface for Iraq.
Al-Sudani stressed the necessity of meeting the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as quickly as possible, and keeping pace with global development in the field of air transport for passengers and goods, as well as working according to specific time frames to determine and achieve targets.
Al-Sudani stressed that lifting the ban on Iraqi Airlines is one of the files that receives great attention from the government, and it is a file that cannot be tolerated, and he stated that legal measures will be taken against those who are negligent in fulfilling the requirements and following up on this file./End Page[/rtl]
