    The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, assigned a special representative with the task of tracking down the fates of citizens who visited Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj rituals based on the annual residency document and then went missing.[/size]
    [size=45]The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Kurdistan Regional Government said in a statement on Friday, June 21, 2024, that it was done today, in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister of the Regional Government and under the auspices of the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Bashtiwan Sadiq, assigned by Dr. Sirwan Abdul Rahman, representative of the General Directorate of Hajj and Umrah in the Supreme Authority for Hajj and Umrah in Iraq, follows up on the fate of citizens who entered Saudi Arabia with annual residency documents, and coordinates with the Iraqi Consulate in Jeddah to provide the necessary facilities in this regard, whether in cases of loss, death, or for those stranded in the Kingdom. .[/size]
    [size=45]According to the ministry spokesman, the number of pilgrims from the region who died during the current season in Saudi Arabia reached 23, and their bodies have already been found.[/size]
    [size=45]The statement indicated that more than 10 other citizens are still detained in Mecca, and their conditions are being monitored in cooperation with the Iraqi consulate staff to release them as soon as possible.[/size]
