    The Ministerial Council for the Economy decided, today, Monday, to raise the purchase price of wheat crop from modern irrigation farmers.

    The Council’s media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning Muhammad Tamim chaired the second session of the Ministerial Council for the Economy, in the presence of the Ministers of Finance, Trade, Agriculture, Industry, Labor, and Social Affairs, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the Chairman of the National Investment Commission, and the Prime Minister’s advisors.” For economic and legal affairs, the Council discussed the items on its agenda and took appropriate decisions regarding them.”
    The statement added, “In reference to the Prime Minister’s directive to expedite the provision of the best services to citizens, the Council hosted the Governor of Baghdad to discuss improving the service situation in the suburbs of the city of Baghdad, especially the two sewage projects in the Al-Wahda district and the Sabaa Al-Bour area, in order to overcome all the problems and difficulties facing these two projects in order to speed up their completion.” ".
    The statement continued, "The Council hosted the Director General of the Iraqi Trade Bank, in order to learn about the reality of the bank's work to advance it and ensure that the bank provides the best banking services to its customers."
    The statement concluded by saying, “The Council, based on the Prime Minister’s directive, reviewed the purchase prices of the wheat crop while giving an incentive price to farmers who use modern irrigation techniques. The Council decided that the purchase prices of wheat for the next season for users of modern irrigation techniques would be higher by 50,000 fifty thousand Iraqi dinars than the price.” "The wheat that will be decided then."[/size]
