    Information / Baghdad..
On Wednesday, the head of the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, Representative Saud Al-Saadi, asked the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces regarding diplomatic measures due to repeated American violations of national sovereignty.
The content of the parliamentary question, which “Al-Ma’aluma” reviewed, stated: “The occupying American forces violated Iraqi sovereignty through their continuous and repeated bombing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, of the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Anbar and Babil, despite the fact that the Popular Mobilization Forces are considered an integral part of the Iraqi armed forces.” In accordance with the provisions of Article (1) of the Popular Mobilization Authority Law No. (40) of 2016.”
In the first question, Al-Saadi wrote, “What are the legal and military measures that the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces must take for the purpose of stopping or limiting these ongoing violations of Iraqi sovereignty?”
He added in his second question: “Was there a directive issued by the Honorable Prime Minister to the Iraqi Foreign Minister to summon the American ambassador in Baghdad as a result of this repeated bombing of the Popular Mobilization Forces and to hand him an official note of protest in accordance with the official contexts or not?”
He continued in his third question, “What are the reasons for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ refusal to implement diplomatic measures against the American ambassador in Baghdad, including submitting an official written note of protest representing the Iraqi government’s position on this repeated blatant violation of Iraqi sovereignty and procedures?” Ended / 25 hours
