It is hoped that next Monday, January 29, the Federal Supreme Court will consider 4 lawsuits and requests to issue state orders aimed at stopping the resumption of the session to elect the new Speaker of Parliament, after the House of Representatives set tomorrow, Saturday, as the date for the resumption of the second round of electing the new Speaker of Parliament. .

According to what the official website of the Federal Supreme Court shows, next Monday, the court will consider 4 cases and requests. The first is to cancel the first round session and all the outcomes that emerged from it, including the nomination and the names that were nominated and voted on, as well as a request to issue a state order to stop the resumption of the second round. To vote on the candidates for the position of Speaker of Parliament, the requests also included invalidating the nomination of MP Shaalan Al-Karim, as well as dropping his membership from Parliament.

It is expected that Parliament will not spend tomorrow with a session to resume voting on the Speaker of Parliament, and wait for what will come out of the Federal Court, and whether it will invalidate the candidates and the first round session and force the nominations to be opened again, or rule on the legitimacy of the session and the first round and rule on the legality of resuming voting, and the matter remains limited only. The available candidates are Shaalan Al-Karim and Salem Al-Issawi, who won the highest votes in the first round.
