    Baghdad today - Sulaymaniyah
The Kurdish economist and academic at Halabja University, Farman Hassan, today, Friday (March 1, 2024), identified the vital sectors that will flourish in Kurdistan if the nationalization of the salaries of the region’s employees is implemented.
Hassan told "Baghdad Today", "The Federal Court's decision to localize the salaries of the region's employees will revive life in a number of sectors that have been completely paralyzed as a result of the salary crisis."
He added, "The most prominent sectors that will return to life after the continuous disbursement of salaries are the real estate market, the car market, the gold market, and the electrical appliances market, especially the real estate market, which is suffering from a complete halt, and a significant decline in the prices of lands, apartments, and houses in all cities of the region."
Last Wednesday, the Federal Supreme Court decided to oblige Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the Federal Council, and Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, to settle the salaries of employees and workers in the public sector, including them in the region, with federal banks.
The court also decided to oblige the submission of the monthly budget for the region’s employees to the Federal Ministry of Finance, while requiring the region’s Council of Ministers to hand over all oil and non-oil revenues to the federal government.
