The representative of the Taqaddam Party, Yahya Faraj Al-Ithawi, confirmed that many of the new parties in the political process do not respect electoral entitlements.
Al-Ithawi said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “the emerging parties transcend constitutional norms and the electoral entitlements of the components,” noting that “the parliamentary seat goes to Taqamud according to prevailing custom.”
Al-Ithawi called on the government that "the political situation be stable and supportive of the government in order to proceed with the government's approach."
He continued, "There are common understandings with all political parties to speed up and proceed with selecting a personality for the Speaker of the House of Representatives."
