, US Ambassador Alina Romanowski confirmed today, Wednesday, that the second meeting of the Supreme Coordination Committee represents an important chapter for the US-Iraqi partnership.
The ambassador said in a tweet on the (X) platform: “Yesterday we launched the second meeting of the Supreme Coordination Committee, as it represents an important chapter in the comprehensive American-Iraqi partnership.”
She added: "It was agreed to expand educational opportunities and cooperation in the fields of energy, water, commercial investments, reform of the private and banking sectors, and strengthening democracy," noting that "partnership in these areas will contribute to improving the lives of Iraqis."
