Prime Minister Haider al - Abadi received a telephone call from US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, stressed the US commitment to support and Government of Iraq in all fields.
According to a statement to the Office of Abadi "Nur News" received a copy of Tillerson "expressed his admiration for the courage of the Iraqi forces and achieved important victories against Daesh, also offered his condolences to the prime minister and the Iraqi people and the victims of the terrorist crime that targeted civilians in the Baya area."
He said US Secretary of State "We support the Iraqi government's efforts to liberate cities and achieving security and stability and we have a desire and willingness to be partners in it and work together to achieve economic prosperity."
For his part, he assured the Prime Minister that "Iraq is in the last stage to eliminate Daesh and the courage and sacrifices of Iraqis broke this terrorist gang has halted its advance," adding "the importance of continued international cooperation against terrorism."
