Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A security source informed that joint security forces launched a military operation, under the title al-Sayl al-Jaref (The Torrent), in al-Tarmia District, north of Baghdad, while revealed that the forces also started to close entrances and exits to and from the district, ikhnews reported on Sunday.

The source said that joint security forces from the army, police, Federal Police and Army Aviation launched, today, a military operation to search for wanted persons in Tarmia District, north of Baghdad.

The military operation launched codenamed al-Sayl al-Jaref (The Torrent), the source further explained.

Furthermore, security forces closed, at dawn today, all entrances and exits to and from al-Tarmia District, and imposed their control on a bridge, as well as conducting search operations in the areas of al-Hawra and al-Khan, the source added on condition of anonymity.
