Iraq expects retrieving $2.3 b .of stolen funds

Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Premier's office sources reported that that the UN international team to combat corruption received documents of 77 ministers and MPs, who were charged with corruption for auditing .
The sources added that the dossiers of 13 ministers and 64 MPs and director –generals were officially handed over to the team which will assist the Iraqi Integrity Commission to retrieve the smuggled or stolen funds.
"some settlements were reached to retrieve some of the funds which were taken for incomplete projects for the last few years", the sources added.
It is expected that 2.3 billion dollars could be retrieved , the sources added.
