The Parliamentary Union reveals the purpose of establishing the Union of Parliamentarians and affirms that it has no privileges

Political Since 2017-04-23 at 13:27 (Baghdad time)

    Baghdad Mawazine News
The Parliamentary Legal Committee revealed on Sunday the purpose of establishing the Union of Iraqi Parliamentarians and legislation of its law, while stressing that the Union will be free of allocations and privileges.
"The parliament voted on the law of the Union of Iraqi Parliamentarians and the purpose of its establishment is to be like a union or an association of deputies after the end of the parliamentary session for them to work on the formulation of ideas and discuss projects and submit proposals as is the case in Other countries ".
He added that "the MP in any case receives a pension after the end of the parliamentary session, but they should be taken advantage of in this union since most of them exercised legislative work for four years or more."
He pointed out that "the law is free of privileges to the Union or its members and there is no confusion or doubt and what is rumored to be untrue."
He added that "we need such a union," adding, "What is bad to benefit from the efforts of former deputies and the inclusion of the Union, they will not receive salaries again because they have pensions and the Union will not allocate a financial budget."
It should be noted that media reports reported that the law passed by the parliament on the Union of Iraqi parliamentarians during the last week gives MPs privileges in terms of money and positions.
