A Mothman-type creature is being reported in Chicago by three separate witnesses over a four-hour period between 10 p.m. on April 15, 2017, and 2 a.m. on April 16, 2017.

The Mothman creature in the West Virginia folklore – a legendary creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area – is a harbinger of doom and supernatural events.

According to MUFON, the mutual UFO Network, three people reported seeing a Mothman over Chicago in the night between April 15 and April 16, 2017.
The first witness explains: “We were about two miles out on the lake, just off of Montrose at about 10 p.m.,” the witness stated. We were enjoying ourselves when I happen to look up and saw what looked like a giant bat, and not like a fox bat (which I looked up and saw was the biggest bat). This bat was as tall as my husband, who is 6-foot, 4-inches, or even bigger.
About five minutes after seeing the creature, the same witness saw a bright green object traveling north to south at the horizon.

30 minutes later, a second witness described one of his son screaming after seeing a huge Lechuza – a Mexican urban legend or myth about an old woman who can turn into a giant, black bird – over by the road at 10:30 p.m. The giant Mothman was six feet tall and had large glowing red eyes.
Finally, the third saw the same 6-foot giant freaking owl with bright yellowish/reddish eyes at 2 a.m., on April 16, 2017.
The Mothman creature comes from West Virginia folklore – a legendary creature reportedly seen in the Point Pleasant area from November 12, 1966, to December 15, 1967. The Mothman was popularized by John Keel in his 1975 book, The Mothman PropheciesHarbinger of doom: Mysterious Mothman-type creature reported over Chicago Ir?t=strang08-20&l=am2&o=1&a=B0090EJHOW, claiming that there were supernatural events related to the sightings, and a connection to the collapse of the Silver Bridge.
