    Shafaq News / Iraqi Parliament began on Tuesday to hold its scheduled meeting after Eid holiday as it is scheduled to vote on several draft laws.
     
    “The Presidency of the parliament decided to resume the session today to read and vote on a number of projects after the completion of the legal quorum in the presence of members of various parliamentary blocs, “A parliamentary source told “Shafaq News”.

    The Presidency of the parliament has confirmed, on Monday, resuming its Tuesday meeting to discuss the security file in the country, while denied threats of targeting the parliament’s building and its staff, as a source acknowledged of the presence of those threats.

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament session started to vote on and reading several law drafts and to continue discussing the amendment of the Parlaimentary Elections law.
    A statement by the media office of the parliament received by IraqiNews.com cited “The session was headed by the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and attended by 194 MPs out of 325.”
    It is worth mentioning that the parliament session agenda involves discussing the deteriorated security situation.
