The General Company for the Transport of Passengers and Delegates has prepared an integrated visa scheme for the UAE, India and neighboring countries as it prepares to launch an internal transport program in Baghdad.
The Director General of the company under the Ministry of Transport Abdullah Laibi said in an interview with "Sabah": The International Transport Department of the company, effective visa issuance to neighboring countries such as the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, revealing the existence of efforts to take approvals for granting to countries Other Kalamarat, India and Turkey, noting that in the event of obtaining approvals will be granted directly from the offices of the company, stressing the existence of an integrated system in his company to reserve all flights of Iraqi Airways.
He pointed out that his company continues to operate buses to neighboring countries, especially to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has launched several flights to it. He stressed that his company is the only authorized authority by the State and the Ministry of Transport to grant contracts and approval to companies entering and out of all ports between the two countries, (Iraqi-Iranian).
He pointed out that the company found economic feasibility in the internal transport sector in Baghdad and some provinces, especially the provinces of: Babil, Dhi Qar, Diyala and Salah al-Din, which called for its reinforcement by a fleet of modern buses and take steps to expand the opening of another, (Jadriya - Maysaloun Square), as well as the opening of a new one towards Abu Ghraib for the first time since 2003.
He revealed the face of the internal transport obstacles in his work, the deterioration of the infrastructure of the streets, and the low ceilings of some controls that do not allow the passage of double-decker buses, as well as electric wires and industrial bumps placed in most of the streets of the capital, as well as sabotage of most stations waiting in the streets, A plan for the transfer of internal integrated in the capital Baghdad, which noted that it is waiting to complete the controls and legal procedures in coordination with the concerned authorities, noting that the fleet of the company consists of 320 buses with two floors, 70 buses (Coaster) in the city of Kadhimiya exclusively, and 350 different buses for transport between For cities.
