Syria signs agricultural contracts with Russia and other countries

During the 59th session of the Damascus International Fair, Syria signed with Russia and other countries contracts for the export of 50,000 tons of vegetables and fruits.
The head of the agricultural sector in the Syrian Exporters Association, Iyad Mohammed, confirmed that the results of the current session of the exhibition were "excellent" in the field of agricultural exports. Many contracts were signed by participants with clients from Russia, Moldova, Vietnam, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, To export citrus, apple, vegetable, potato, onion, saplings and ornamental plants.
In a statement to the Syrian SANA agency, Mohammad said that the contracts concluded included the free shipping feature provided by the government to encourage exports.
According to him, the number of companies participating in Damascus International Fair was 36 private companies and 8 government, in addition to the agricultural committee of the Exporters Union.
