It confirmed the inclusion of the public and private sectors to retire
    Baghdad / Shaima Rashid
Finance Committee in the House of Representatives confirmed that the draft social insurance law recently approved by the Council of Ministers will include workers in the private retirement sector and reduce the pressure on the government sector, noting that the law will be incorporated into all retirement laws in the state law One.
"The draft law on social insurance guarantees rights for all and does not include the abolition of government retirement or the retirement of martyrs, as these segments are a red line, which is an acquired right of people who served the state and sacrificed their youth," said committee chairman Ahmad al-Haj Rashid. The retirement can not be canceled or cut off from anyone because it is a general and universal law, but this law covers the private and governmental sectors. "
"The draft law of the State Consultative Council has not yet reached the parliament and the finance committee. Once it arrives, the committee will discuss it and decide on it," he said. "The importance of the law will include the private sector in terms of pension rights. Law will activate the private sector ».
For his part, denied the member of the Committee Hossam al-Aqabi, the law caused damage to categories of retirees, indicating that it is a comprehensive law of most of the laws that concern retirement.
Al-Aqabi said in an interview with Al-Sabah: "The draft law contains many pros, the most important of which is the inclusion of the private sector with the year of retirement after the taking of the pensions, as it reduces the dependence on the public sector. There are also a number of pension laws in the country. Cancel some articles on retirement and integrate them with the Social Security Law ».
"The law is comprehensive for all employees in the Iraqi state, both government and private, without exception, and this precedent is the first of its kind," adding that he "needs to study thoroughly before passing it, despite the positive aspects contained in its articles."
The Secretariat of the Council of Ministers issued an explanation of the draft law on social insurance, indicating that the bill provides a better life for millions of families.
Al-Amana said in a statement: "The project came after extensive study by the concerned authorities and is an important step in the right direction and reform of the pension system in the country and reduce the pension differences between those covered by its provisions." The project was discussed extensively in the Council of Ministers Deputies so far has been taking notes made at the meeting of the Council of Ministers and in order to promote the status of retirees in government sectors and mixed and private ».
"The draft did not affect the rights of the army and police martyrs and the popular crowd, which are covered by the law of the institution of martyrs, as well as those covered by the law of compensation for those affected by military operations and military mistakes and terrorist operations.
