[ltr]Protection of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Wednesday opened fire and dispersed a demonstration by force in Dhi Qar province.[/ltr]
[ltr]Abadi arrived in Dhi Qar this morning and held a meeting with provincial officials to discuss the situation.[/ltr]
[ltr]Sources told Mawazine News that "protecting Abadi forced the journalists to stay inside a hall in the building of Dhi Qar province and prevent them from going out or entering."[/ltr]
[ltr]The sources added that "at the same time dispersed the protection demonstration coincided with the arrival of Abbadi to the city of Nasiriyah and proceeded to fire."[/ltr]
[ltr]Local media reported reports that Abadi's protection assaulted demonstrators gathered in front of the governorate building and forced them to leave.[/ltr]
