    [ltr]Iraq's oil ministry said on Tuesday that Iraq will reopen an old oil pipeline to Turkey, bypassing the line run by the Kurdistan Regional Government, in a move that represents beatings under the wall[/ltr]
    [ltr]Iraqi Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi, from the state-run North Oil Company, which operates the Kirkuk fields, the oil projects company and the state pipeline company, has started a "comprehensive and urgent repair and rehabilitation of the crude oil pipeline from the Kirkuk fields to the Turkish port of Ceyhan."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Minister of Oil, in a statement on the official website of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, that the difficulties and challenges of financial and economic will not prevent the ministry to rehabilitate the pipeline network of oil exports and the possibilities available and effort and national experience.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"Iraq hopes to restore its previous export capacity - currently stalled - which was between 250 and 400 thousand barrels per day, with the possibility of adding new energies to enhance its exports through the northern port."[/ltr]
    [ltr]Oil Minister Jabbar al-Luaibi met last Monday with the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the oil and energy fields and the issue of oil exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Iraqi government has formally asked Turkey and Iran to stop all commercial transactions, especially with regard to the export of oil with the region.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The pipeline between Kirkuk and Jihan crosses an area seized by a terrorist-supporting organization in 2014 and restored by US-backed Iraqi forces in the past two years.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Observers believe that the success of Iraq in the operation of this pipeline, will lead to "Shell" the supply of oil from the Kurdistan region of Iraq to Turkey, which wants to eliminate the region's oil.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The fields of the Kurdistan region of oil produce about 600 thousand barrels per day, and are exporting up to 550 thousand barrels a day through the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean coast through a pipeline to the region.[/ltr]
