    Russian Defense Minister Sergey Schweigu said Tuesday that the Wahhabist preacher controls less than 5 percent of Syrian territory.
    "Before the Russian air operations in Syria, 70 percent of the Syrian territory was controlled by the Wahhabist preacher," Shweigo told a meeting of ASEAN defense ministers and dialogue partners, according to the Sputnik agency.
    "The Russian air force has destroyed 948 training camps and 666 factories and workshops to produce ammunition and 1,500 military equipment for terrorist groups in Syria since the operations began," he said.
    "A total of 998 towns and villages have been liberated and 503,000 areas have been liberated. Most of the militants have been eliminated and peace has been restored in Syria," he said.
    Shweigo pointed out the return of 1.21 million Syrian citizens to their homes since 2015, of which 660,000 will be in 2017 only.

    Russian Defense Minister Sergei Schweigau said on Tuesday that the Da'ash-Bat organization controls less than 5 percent of Syrian territory.
    Shweigo explained that the organization and before the start of Russian air operations controlled about 70 percent of Syria.
    In a speech to the fourth consultative meeting of defense ministers of the ASEAN countries, he said: "Until 2015, it has won about $ 3 billion a year from the sale of Syrian oil and at times sales reached 10 billion."
    Adding that "the support stopped in practice after its recent losses."
    Shweigo spoke of details of military operations inside Syria and said the air force destroyed 948 training camps, 666 factories and workshops to produce ammunition, and destroyed 1,500 military equipment.
