Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Thursday denied the existence of a link between the return of Russian tourism to Egypt and the signing of contracts with the Russian company Ross Atom.
"I am very appreciative of the Russian position regarding the return of tourism, but we have not pressed them, we will not fight, and anyone who wants to reassure the insurance procedures is welcome," Sisi said during a press statement.
"The government has developed a very ambitious plan for development. At the same time, it is fighting and confronting many challenges. We do not live in a war economy as it did after 1967. But we have to take into consideration that we are a state that lived in a state of revolution for four years. From terrorism ".
He stressed that Egypt and its airports are safe and ready to reassure any side of the security of Egyptian airports and welcome tourists. It is up to the Russian leadership to consider the return of Russian tourism in a timely manner and we are keen to ensure that our country is stable and safe.
