[ltr]Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said Thursday that there was a new Balfour Declaration against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Israel as the capital of Israel.[/ltr]
[ltr]"We feel that we are facing the new Balfour Declaration and the fate of the Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem at great risk and the greatest danger to the Al-Aqsa Mosque," Nasrallah said in a speech on Trump's decision. "The sovereignty over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem has become Israel, .[/ltr]
[ltr]"Israel and its leaders do not respect international laws, charters and agreements, they do not respect the so-called international community, and we will witness the phenomenon of massive, rapid and unrestricted Israeli settlement in Jerusalem," Nasrallah said.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Understanding the dangers of Trump's decision on Jerusalem will be an incentive for all to take responsibility and move," he said, expecting that he would "hear a few days later of Arab voices reducing the risk of that decision."[/ltr]
